MaryLee Knowlton (b. 1946) is a regular Gareth Stevens author. She served as the first of three translators for Beechwood Bunny Tales, the English version of Geneviève Huriet's Famille Passiflore series. In addition, she wrote the English versions of Kazuo Iwamura's 14 Forest Mice books.

Knowlton's other works include the Cultures of the World series, and its companion spinoff Children of the World, for both of which she was an author and editor.

Her first name is written most of the time in CamelCase form.
